Changing Times... Election 2016

                                            

        

It is a very rare day that I would be focused on politics... I actually try to steer as far away from that loaded topic but this year it really has me engaged.  Maybe it's the fact that I'm getting older growing up, thinking about my children's future or just that it seems to be more of a circus entertaining interesting than the last one. As I get older I think I see the world much differently than I did before... Not through the innocent child-like eyes I had before but with more watchful and cautious eyes of an adult.

Although it seems that this year's election is filled with controversy it has had one very positive effect on society... More of us are thinking about the future of our nation.  Those of us that rarely thought about politics are thinking.  We're talking and we're planning for the future... That is a good thing.

As a Christian, there are many things that are important to me. Having a leader that is a Christian might not be the most important. Qualities that I find important for human beings are the same qualities that God finds valuable... Not simply biblical but simply good. Honesty. Determination. Loyalty. Are these  the qualities of a good leader? Are they also qualities of a Godly person? Quite possibly.

Regardless of who you are voting for or what you believe it's important that you take the time to learn what's going on.  Be informed.  Form your own opinion and most importantly VOTE. It is not only a right but it's an obligation. Do your part to help your city, your state and your country.    There is still a great deal of work to be done and I believe that God is in control and working.
